During the pandemic years, we developed a new model for remote research, taking place in the comfort of the participants’ homes. We send in a box all necessary instruments, instructions and IRB-approved consent forms, and via zoom or another remote interactive client, we provide further support while assembling the equipment, piloting our protocols and saving and sending the data to our lab. This “lab in the box” model allows us to digitize clinical trials and build longitudinal trajectories of the trial outcomes, in collaboration with the participants and the clinicians involved. All equipment is commercially available for scalability and diversification of our participants’ pool.
